Refrigeration & Airconditioning Mechanics / HVAC-R Technician (fulltime)

Location: Cairns and Port Douglas

Alphacool is expanding and looking to engage experienced self-driven, forward thinking trade qualified HVAC-R technicians who are goal orientated. We have positions in both Port Douglas & Cairns available.

About the Role

You will need to work closely with the Service Managers, Supervisors and Service Coordinator along with your Alphacool team mates.

The role includes but is not limited to standard maintenance and report completion; breakdowns including fault diagnosis and repairs; equipment inspections and reporting; equipment installation and commissioning.

You will possess:

• Occupational QBCC Licence
• Full ARCTIC Refrigerant Handling Licence.
• Certificate III in Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration.
• Current Manual Drivers Licence.
• Current white card or blue card (construction).
• Superior fault finding competencies.
• High level literacy skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
• An ability to plan and work autonomously as well as within a team.
• An ability to work flexible hours and attend callout repairs when required.
• Achieving high quality workmanship to industry code of practice Standards.
• A commitment to Workplace Health and Safety.
• Organisation & great time management skills are essential.
• CO2 Refrigeration experience desirable
